What's the difference between a photo and an image?
Photo and image content types explained!
In Plone there are two content types for pictures - Photo and Image. What's the difference?
Photo
1 - Use Photo when you want the picture to exist as its own (and not as an element of something else like an image on your home page).
2 - Photos will appear in the What's New tab when they are published.
3 - The Photo content type appears in a custom document that allows the viewer to select a size for viewing; Original, Thumbnail, Xsmall, Medium, Large and Xlarge.
4 - Photos can also be a part of Photo Albums which automate the display of collections of photos.
example: Carl Stone in Seoul
Image
1 - Use Image when the picture is a header or illustration on your home page or a part of some other document.
2 - Images do not appear in the What's New tab.
3 - For more information about how to add an image to a document see this how to on structured text. A how to using Epoz is in the works.
example: Joseph Hammer's home page
