These instructions can be followed to add any type of content to the site.

Some notes on events:

The front page of the site pulls the five top upcoming events in order of date....the earliest date comes first. What that means is is an event has duration, like an exhibition, a grant deadline or concert series, they tend to stay on the front page long past their opening date. When there are a lot of these dates they can crowd events that are actually more current off of the calendar.

So some guidelines:

1 - Concerts - these are easy. Just enter the information required.

2 -Concert series - this is where it's more complicated. Generally it's always best to enter each individual concert. If the series takes place over a weekend then sometimes it's still possible to make a single event entry.

But if the series is longer (ie. See hear now , sound. At the schindler house etc), then it's best to enter the concerts either by weekends or individually, especially if it's just a few concerts scattered throughout a few months. Otherwise, the series keeps concerts that may actually be happening sooner from getting to the front page.

3 - Grant and other deadlines: enter the information for the due date only. It's also helpful to post something with a deadline as a news item as well as an event. That way it shows up on the front page and gives everyone advance notice.
