soundCommons is a portal and file exchange system based in the Los Angeles experimental sound community. We are in the early beta testing stages.
Membership in soundCommons is free to members of the international experimental music community. Each member receives 250mb of space for web pages and sound files on the soundCommons site. All members can post event information and news as well as recommend other members. It is also possible to apply for membership - a form will be online soon.
Supporting members receive 500mb of disc space for a $50 yearly contribution. A form for contributions will be online soon.
soundCommons was created with support from Creative Capital and runs on an Xserve purchased with a special discount from Apple hosted courtesy Gadoz.
