Kadet Kuhne is a composer, filmmaker and installation artist based out of Los Angeles.
Kadet’s electronic music compositions are layered ambient arrangements with percussive fragments and glitchy textures. Her sound installations center around the creation of spatialized and interactive environments using customized devices and hacked electronics.
As an experimental filmmaker she has multiple film and video shorts that are screened worldwide, with distribution through Cinenova. Kadet’s video installation works involve sensors, live processing, and the dynamics of space as it relates to the individual.
Past exhibitions & performances include venues such as the Museum of Art Lucerne, Musees de Strasbourg, San Francisco Arts Commission Gallery, The Weisman Art Museum in Mpls, Highways Gallery in LA, New York Underground Film Festival, Rhode Island School of Design and the Knitting Factory in LA.
